Seventeen Members of Leadership 100 Invested as Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate
His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, accompanied by His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos of San Francisco and His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey, presided at the Investiture of seventeen members of Leadership 100 as part of the new class of thirty-nine new Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate from throughout the United States, following the Divine Liturgy at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Like their distinguished brethren among the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the new Archons have dedicated themselves to the protection and defense of the Mother Church of Constantinople.
The National Commander of the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle, Dr. Anthony J. Limberakis, said: “It is with great joy that we welcome the Archon Class of 2023. These dedicated Orthodox Christians have demonstrated exemplary Christian Stewardship in offering their time, talent, and treasure over the years to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. They will be recognized from here on with the ancient and illustrious Byzantine official of Archon. To the Archon Class of 2023, we offer our heartfelt congratulations. In addition, we extend our deep appreciation to the Committee to Recommend New Archons chaired by Archon Constantine G. Caras, Esq. who administered the selection process in a most systematic, comprehensive, and diligent manner.”
During the solemn Archon Investiture service, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, with His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos and His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos, presented each Archon with the Cross of St. Andrew, along with the official Patriarchal Certificate specifying the Offikion designated by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for each Archon.
